Cut the leg of lamb into thin slices approximately as for roulades (possibly have the butcher prepare them). Wash the apples, divide into wedges (just not too thick) and wrap with bacon. Peel the shallots and cut in half if necessary.
Alternate lamb, sage, apples and the shallots nicely ‘just’ on skewers. Drizzle the meat with oil, salt and pepper. Then cook on the grill for approx. 12 min.
all around. Tip: You can also marinate the meat beforehand. There are no limits to your imagination.
If you use wooden skewers, please soak them in water for about 1 hour before use. Then they do not char so quickly and the meat is easier to remove from the skewer.
