Place water, sugar and cinnamon in a boil-proof bowl (ceramic or microwaveware is best) and stir. Cook at 600 – 700 watts for about 1 minute. Now add the almonds to the bowl and mix everything. Again microwave at 600 – 700 watts for about 2 minutes.
Now stir everything again and microwave for a last time for 1.5 – 2 min.

If there is still liquid, stir the mixture again well and heat briefly. But make sure that the mass is not too dark. Now put everything on a baking paper, let it cool down and break it apart. Ready are the roasted almonds. Try it – they are totally delicious and addictive. Tip: Instead of 3 tablespoons of water, add only 1 ½ and 1 ½ tablespoons of amaretto.
