Peel and coarsely dice the potatoes. Drain/thaw the beans or soak them overnight. Cut the bacon into coarse pieces, about 2-3cm thick without the rind.
Add the beans with water (also use the draining/thawing/soaking water).
Add the savory.
Bring to the boil.
Then add the potatoes and bacon and continue to simmer for about 30min.
When the potatoes are soft, season with salt and pepper.
