Mix some of the cherry juice with the custard powder and set aside.
Boil the remaining cherry juice with the pulp of the vanilla pod.
Add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved, then add the stirred custard powder and bring to a boil until thick.
Chill in the refrigerator! When the custard is cold, whip the cream until stiff and gently fold into the custard. Layer the custard and cherries in glasses, garnish with chocolate sprinkles if desired! The cream can be prepared well the day before and tastes very delicious even after 2 days.
