Cream together the fat, sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat the eggs one at a time, add them and beat until fluffy.
Mix the baking powder with the flour and nuts. Stir in the flour and milk alternately. Spread the mixture evenly on the tray or in the pan. Drain a jar of cherries, place the cherries evenly distributed on the dough. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the ingredients for the crumble in a bowl with a hand mixer.
Sprinkle the cake with the crumble. Bake the cake at 180°C. A tray needs about 30 min., in a pan the cake must stay in the oven for 40 min.
