Put flour, sugar, eggs, oil, lemonade (optional seltzer), baking powder and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl and mix for 3 minutes with the mixer on high speed until a homogeneous dough. I always like to add a shot of eggnog.
Now pour the dough onto a greased cake tray and let it run into all corners by gently swirling it. Then spread the drained cherries on the dough.
Now bake on the middle shelf for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees (convection oven) until golden brown. Afterwards, simply sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on the still hot cake. This smells super delicious and tastes just great. By the way, you can of course also give other fruits on the dough. Or take powdered sugar for garnishing.
