🍓 Ingredients

100 grams Margarine 📝 🍽
2 Eggs 📝 🍽
500 grams Flour 📝 🍽
2 tablespoons Honey or apple jelly
2 teaspoons Gingerbread spice 📝 🍽
500 grams Sugar 📝 🍽
75 grams Candied orange peel 📝 🍽
75 grams Candied lemon peel 📝 🍽
200 grams Chopped almonds or nuts
1 teaspoon Cocoa powder 📝 🍽
2 teaspoons Cinnamon 📝 🍽
possibly Milk only if needed 🍽
2 teaspoons Baking soda 📝 🍽

🍽 Instructions

Mix everything properly, if the dough is not yet smooth, add a little milk.

Form a roll and cut the roll into slices. Place the dough slices on the baking tray with a large distance between them and bake at 180 degrees for 15 – 18 minutes. It is best to bake about 4 weeks before Christmas and let the cookies soften in the cookie jar (after baking they are bone hard), but unfortunately they never soften in our house as they are always snacked on right away.

The recipe is from my grandma and certainly 100 years old.
