Wash and chop or puree the cranberries and apples.

Mix with the preserving sugar and bring to a simmer over low heat. As soon as it bubbles, add the amaretto and simmer for about 3 minutes. Then fill into jars, screw shut and let cool upside down. Tip: It also tastes very good if you add a little ginger.
