Cream the butter with the sugar, add the vanilla sugar and gradually stir in the eggs.
Mix flour with baking powder and fold in.
Coarsely chop the chocolate and fold in. Grate the ginger into the batter. Mix everything well and spread the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 180° on the middle shelf for about 20 minutes (test with a stick). The amount of ginger can also be increased or decreased according to taste.
