Heat the honey with margarine and sugar and let it cool down again. Mix the flour with baking powder and spice, add in batches to the honey mixture with 2 eggs, lemon zest, 65 g ground almonds and 65 g candied lemon peel and mix.

Spread the dough on a greased baking sheet. Whisk 1 egg with the milk and brush the pastry sheet with it, sprinkle with the flaked almonds and the remaining candied lemon peel.

Bake for 40 – 45 minutes at 175 – 185°C. Allow the cake to cool slightly and cut into rectangles.
