Grease muffin tin or fill with paper cups. Preheat oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.
Mix eggs, oil, buttermilk, sugar, vanilla sugar and flavoring.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and poppy seeds and mix to a batter. Divide the batter into the ramekins and bake for 25 min.
After baking, let stand in the pan for another 10 min, then loosen and let cool on the rack. Mix the sifted powdered sugar with the lemon juice to make a thick glaze, spread on the muffins and immediately sprinkle with poppy seeds for decoration.
