Dice the onion. Mix the minced meat with onions, egg, breadcrumbs and tomato paste and season with salt, pepper and paprika.
Dice the cheese and pluck the thyme leaves. Mix cheese and thyme. Form 8 dumplings from the minced mixture and flatten. Place the cheese cubes in the center, close the mince around them and form into meatballs. Heat the oil, fry the meatballs over medium heat for 15 minutes, turning occasionally. When eaten warm, the cheese flows out beautifully!
Goes well with peperonata and potatoes or mashed potatoes with fried onions.
