Wash raisins, drain. Cut rolls into thin slices, wash apples, peel if necessary, quarter, core and cut into thin wedges. Mix cream, milk, eggs, egg yolk and sugar.
Layer bread and apples in alternating layers in a greased baking dish, always sprinkling in a few raisins.
Pour egg milk over it and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top. Press down lightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 150° for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
Dust with powdered sugar. Tip: Serve with vanilla sauce.
