Grease and flour a loaf pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Beat the softened butter until smooth. Gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.

Stir in each egg separately. Finally, fold in the quark. Sift flour and baking powder and mix well. Then stir into the foam mixture in batches, alternating with the milk.

Peel and core the pears. Cut two pears into small pieces and grate one pear.


Immediately fold the rasp and pear pieces into the batter. Spread the batter in the pan and smooth it out.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes. After 15 minutes baking time, cut the cake lengthwise in the middle about 1 cm deep with a pointed knife.
