Boil the potatoes – whether with or without the skin is up to you.
In the meantime, peel the onion and cut into small cubes together with the gherkins (I always take cornichons). Let the potatoes cool down a bit and peel them if necessary, then cut them into pieces.
The size is up to you. Put the potatoes, onion, cucumber and peas in a bowl and mix with the meat salad.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
