Knead all the ingredients for the dough with the mixer and the dough hooks until smooth.

Refrigerate for one hour.

Preheat oven to 200 °C. Roll out the dough to a thickness of approx. 5 mm. Cut into ‘tombstones’ with a knife, about 3 x 6 cm wide. Place the dough pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Whisk the egg with milk. Brush the dough pieces with the egg-milk mixture. Put a little salt on each piece and make a cross with the sesame seeds.

Bake for 15 minutes until the ‘tombstones’ are golden brown.
