Cut the buns into small cubes and put them in a bowl. Mix the milk and eggs and pour over the top. Cover and let swell for about 30 minutes. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the butter in a pan. Fry the bacon in it for about 5 minutes until crispy. Add onion and saute for about 3 minutes.

Then stir in the parsley. Knead the bacon and onion mixture into the bread mixture.

Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Heat plenty of salted water in a large pot. Form dumplings from the mixture and let them simmer at low heat for 15 – 20 minutes.
