Heat the oil. Dice the onion and fry until translucent.
Add the minced meat and fry until crumbly. Mix the tomato paste with the minced meat and fry it a little. Now add the canned tomatoes on top, break up the tomatoes a bit and let the sauce cook for a longer time. Season to taste with salt and pepper. When the sauce has reduced to a nice creamy consistency, put the spaghetti in enough boiling salted water and cook it ‘al dente’. Add finely chopped basil to the sauce just before serving, if desired.
Serve with a little grated Parmesan cheese.
