Let the oat flakes swell in the milk. In the meantime, grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Beat the egg with the sugar until foamy. Mix the oat flakes with flour, baking powder and flavoring and add the melted butter. Fold everything together into the egg mixture and pour into the baking dish. Bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes and then dust with powdered sugar. Serve lukewarm with applesauce, jam, cream or vanilla ice cream. Is more to spoon than to eat like a normal cake, therefore suitable as a dessert.
